This study examines the economic impact of Virginia’s agriculture and forest industries in 2021.  It updates a study published in 2017 and retains methodological features of that study.  The study is made up of four sections. The first section examines characteristics of the agriculture and forestry production and manufacturing sectors in Virginia. It also examines recent changes in industry economic activity. The second section introduces the data and methodology used in the study. It describes the economic impact model (IMPLAN) used, the method of delineating the industry, and date sources. The third section presents the results. The final section is a summary and conclusion.
