Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service professionals serve the Commonwealth of Virginia through practical training programs; objective information, data, and unbiased research; and technical assistance to state and local officials, community leaders, and members of the general public.
You can help the Weldon Cooper Center serve Virginia.
By supporting Cooper Center projects, your tax-deductible gifts of any size will inform and improve government; create opportunities for young leaders; and build the talent of local officials and citizens in communities across the Commonwealth.
For example, your gift could:
Enable the Center to attract top quality graduate student researchers (by helping to defray tuition costs) - and to offer to those students hands-on, practical experiences in applied research and client service;
Provide endowment funds needed to support start-up or pro bono projects, including projects for non-profit organizations or other groups that cannot pay for services;
Support strong Virginia government by helping to cover the costs for Virginians of all ages to participate in training programs that help them become more engaged in their communities as candidates for office, government officials, political officials, and as citizen activists at the local, state, and national levels.
